this is a short lil' blog to tell you people that i got 3rd place in my grade for an art show this week :) my photo teacher wanted to enter it cause she thought it was real good, sooo thats pretty sweet. and i got 3rd place for my picture :) yay! sooooooooo

the BIG 2009!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! [a few days later of course]
this is going to be a big year, i turn 16 in June, i have a boyfriend named Logan Reynolds (who also turns 16 this year, in april) that i will have been with for a year on June 10th, i will hopefully start drivers ed. soon (i should have already...but that's a different story), i finish sophomore year and become a junior in high school, anddd who knows what else!!! but the point is, its gunna be big.

New Years Eve i went to an LDS youth dance.. it was pretty fly. we partied and all that good jazz. i had lots of fun, and i'm glad i was with friends (and my boyfriend!!!!!) when the new year was kicked in! Here's a fun little photo of Logan and i right after the clock rang 12. wearing tired, hyper, exhausted, exstatic, pretty dorky smiles...and a pretty shnazzzzy New Year's Tiara, with matching orange glow bracelets, here we are:

The gym was hot and filled with hanging stars so low that they poked almost every teen in the eye at least once, palms were sweaty when guys asked you to dance (and not really in a good way) awkward stares and conversation... weird snacks and mountain dew spiked punch... those little noise makers and a disco ball, a really really really old Dj who hates kids, where being a wallflower is being a god to the leaders, yeaaaaa.

Some people who read this might know that I'm in a photography class at school.

and you probably know how much i absolutely love photography.... I went to visit my sister Brianne in Fort Collins quite a few weeks ago, and while i was there i had a photo assignment. And being the very nice and loving sister that she is, Brianne took me around the town for a bit to take some pick-a-tours. Then about a week after that i got my next photo assignment.



I am a student at Thomas B. Doherty High School. And my high school had a homecoming spirit week the week i got home from Brianne's house. the first day was hat day...tuesday was toga day...wednesday was PJ day...thursday was decades day...and finally, wonderful friday spartan blue and green day! which includes the DHS auto show. that was my next assignment...cars. cars cars annnddd cars.

In this class we develope our own film. and we make our own contact sheets and test strips and prints. i happen to think the process is fun, a love seeing my pictures turn out.
I decided that im going to develope most of my pictures, well, the ones that are kinda sweet. it might take me a while to get them on the computer, because we print them ourselves. I'll try to scan them on as quick as i can so you guys can see what they look like. they're all black and white, because its easier to develope and print black and white film in a school class thats only 45 minutes everyday.

Well,

today was unbelievably good.
i realized some things that i should have always known...
i definitely found out that people care most of the time.

especially when you think they don't.
and things will only get better if you want them to.

Old movies on cold snowy or rainy days always make you feel sleepy..
but also make you feel wonderful.

pretending is almost as good as the real thing if you think about it hard enough.

...and if you watch those old black and white movies when its snowy outside
and you snuggle up tight on the couch
and think real hard about what it is your missing...
you may be lucky enough to fall asleep
and dream what you were pretending. which we all know is a good thing.

and another thinK........Not all hope is lost. theres hope in every stand, every glance, every touch, and every sound that comes out of anyones mouth.

...Nothing is lost that cannot be found once more.

start everyday with the thought that your happy, and that your day will be good,
and if you do it right, it will be.

It's a First...

So ... this is my first blog! Yay meee! I've decided to start blogging to keep in touch with friends and family, let them know what im thinking and what I've been up to...and to help me know whats going on in everyone elses life too. Brianne, my older sister, thought would be a good idea for me, because i like to write. I like to write my feelings and i guess just little thoughts that i happen to think during the day. I am a small person with enourmous ideas about living life, and what it should be like. I Don't really know what i should blog about yet, i think i'll just blog about what i feel like blogging. haha.
